【 Contributing to the Nation's Future - Supporting Taiwan Fund for Children and Families 】
We firmly believe in a corporation's societal mission. As a corporate citizen, irrespective of an enterprise's size and scale, we believe that we should bear this social responsibility - taking from society and giving back to society by contributing to charitable causes and environmental conservation. Every month, we make regular donations to Taiwan Fund for Children and Families(TFCF), with our primary contributions directed towards the "Foster Care Recruitment" and "Endless Generation" projects. We hope that through consistent donations, we can assist underprivileged families and children with developmental delays, ensuring that these little angels receive appropriate support during their educational development.
The donations to TFCF are utilized not only for covering the adoption fees for children in need but also as funding for various other child and youth welfare services. These services encompass emergency assistance for supported children and families, scholarships, parental employment support, parenting education, parent-child relationship counseling, child behavior and psychological counseling, medical consultation support, recreational activities, and more. Additionally, depending on local needs, we promote foster care for children and youth, guardianship investigations, support for indigenous communities, guidance for school dropouts, early intervention, childcare, and assistance for disadvantaged young girls.
【 Contributing to Plastic Reduction - Using Glass Bottles 】
Most dietary supplements available in the market are packaged in white plastic bottles due to their low cost, which helps reduce production expenses, including warehousing and transportation costs. However, plastic bottles have a significant ecological impact on the planet, taking hundreds of years to naturally decompose. For example, plastic bottles made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) take approximately 450 years to decompose naturally, posing a significant burden on the environment. Plastic not only poses a severe threat to the environment but also carries potential risks of plastic micro-particles, whether through ingestion by humans or entering the ocean, resulting in a vicious cycle of ecological disruption. Growing environmental awareness in Europe has led to glass bottles becoming a new favorite among consumers, especially after the broadcast of the second season of BBC's "Blue Planet," awakening the environmental consciousness of many.
For us, environmental conservation is a daily commitment, and we actively reduce plastic usage. Our products are packaged in dark brown glass bottles, which can be recycled and reused without the risk of plastic micro-particles and plasticizers. Dark brown glass bottles also protect sensitive vitamin products from the effects of light and heat, preventing the degradation of their potency.
【 Contributing to Reducing Ecological Environment Damage - Using Green Printing 】
In addition to glass bottles, we use eco-friendly vegetable-based inks for our packaging printing. These inks are non-toxic, free of volatile solvents, and devoid of heavy metals. The vegetable-based inks we choose have received international certifications from SGS and the European Union's ROHS, ensuring safety for both the environment and consumers, including adults and children.
Our product packaging is made from recycled materials with green environmental certifications, including Green Seal Certification, Recycled Paper Certification, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certification. The Forest Stewardship Council is an internationally recognized forest management association founded in 1993 by a group of forestry professionals, sociologists, and environmentalists. FSC's global network actively promotes responsible and sustainable forest management practices worldwide. Furthermore, our paper is also Elemental Chlorine Free Certified, meaning it does not use chlorine gas in the bleaching process, which can produce harmful substances when mixed with wood pulp. Instead, our paper utilizes natural raw materials, avoiding the creation of harmful substances that could harm the ecological environment.
